Springcourt

Oorspronkelijk een tennisschoen voor gravel, ontworpen in 1936 door Parijzenaar Georges Grimmeisen.
De schoen was herkenbaar door de vier ventilatiegaten in de zool.
Eind jaren zestig was er een omslag van het tennisveld naar de straat, je leefde, danste of protesteerde in je Spring Court sportschoen.
Wie kent niet de iconische foto op Abbey Road met John Lennon in de witte Spring Court.

Spring Court was one of the first tennis shoes designed for clay. Created in 1936 by Georges Grimmeisen, it was recognisable by the four ventilation holes in its midsole.
Worn by the children of the Sixties, Spring Court left the sports arena for the street, becoming the discreet, yet easily identifiable symbol of the non-conformism of an entire generation.
Spring Court remains one of the cult accessories of this revolution.
